Students wishing to enroll in any of the academic programs must have the following qualities:
1. Academic and Professional Excellence
Clarity and deepness in their previous knowledge
- The ability to express themselves, both verbally and in writing, in a clear, coherent and logic manner.
- The ability to formulate concepts.
- Personal aptitudes that allow them to practice their profession at a high level.
Research Ability
- Curiosity in the advancements of a particular field and its related areas of knowledge.
- An interest in stating problems with possible solutions and in searching for new ways to solve them.
An attitude of interdisciplinary dialogue
- The ability to work as part of a team.
- The capability of conciliating different interests.
- A sense of responsibility, tolerance and compromise with their professional activity.
- An interest in learning other values and areas of knowledge.
An attitude for service in the work that they do
- The individual performs his or her profession with the willingness to serve with excellence both professionally as a teacher, and humanely as a member of a community.
2. A Humanistic Personal Development
Personal Dignity
- The individual is aware of his or her dignity and respects the dignity of others.
Values
- The individual is respectful and open towards his or her colleagues as well as towards the disciplines that are different from their own. He or she demonstrates an interest for searching for universal values in general and Jewish values in particular, and is able to significantly integrate his or her beliefs and knowledge, in a respectful setting, towards concepts that are socially, ideologically and religiously different from their own.
Responsibility, freedom and engagement
- The individual is responsible for the decisions that he or she makes for him or herself and others. The person tends to be coherent with his or her own philosophical, political and religious beliefs, tends to engage with people and is faithful to his or her commitments.
3. A Humanistic Social Development
A conscience for national problems
- The individual demonstrates an interest in both national and international conflicts.
An attitude of solidarity and justice towards the country
- The individual expresses an interest in being informed as a mean to research approaches that are realistic and applicable to his or her own professional development and social/family situation.
