Raquel Torenberg has a B.A. in Sociology from Hartford University in Connecticut, and has completed graduate studies in Israel, a specialty in Jewish Studies by the Universidad Iberoamericana, and is a current candidate for a Ph.D. in Sociology by the UNAM.
Professor Torenberg’s main teaching and research areas are: Sociology, teaching, and matters of gender differences and religious identity, particularly in the Jewish world. For various years, she has worked in mid and higher education, and has been a teacher for over 25 years in both high school and college.
Raquel currently works as a professor in the Faculty of Education at the Universidad Anahuac and as Academic Director at the Hebraica University.
